Palaniraj Rama Raj

I am currently a Basic Physician Trainee at Northern Health with career aspirations in Ophthalmology. I thoroughly enjoy the close patient interactions, the broad-case mix, and the technical and academic challenges that accompany the role of an ophthalmologist, as experienced during my two-year stint as the Blue Mountains unaccredited Ophthalmology Registrar. I hold a strong passion for academia and clinical research, having authored several medical publications and poster presentations, as well as completing a Master of Medicine (Ophthalmic Sciences) degree with distinctions at the University of Sydney. Outside of work and academia, I am an avid yoga practitioner with a penchant for fine wine. I am also a competitive futsal player and a very passionate Manchester United fan.
