Elena Zhu

CERA

Dr Elena Zhu is a current resident at Bass Coast Hospital.

She finished her Doctor of Optometry Degree in 2015 at the University of Melbounre. During her optometry degree, she developed strong interest in ophthalmology. She then finished her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2019 at the University of Melbourne. Elena utilized all her university holidays in medical school and optometry to shadow ophthalmologists across the world, including Bascom Palmer Eye institute. 

Elena has been working with A/Prof Lyndell Lim at CERA since the early years of her medical school. Elena is extremely passionate about ophthalmology reasearch and she hopes their work can improve current clinical practice and patient's outcome.
